Hi Coujo,
Any support planned for Nero 8? I tried using ImgTool but only got coaster while using Nero 8 engine. I've tried ImgBurn but seems too picky for some errors. |

Good question, next question. If I beliefe Nero.com - they sad that all version are compatible and therefore all should work. If I find the time, I'll make a new build using newest available library.

Beliefe it or not ... today I tried to find news about the newest available Nero SDK. The last version is 1.08. Unfortunately this version isn't 100% compatible with Nero 8. Inside the newest available version of the SDK are also some problems. For me it looks like the libraries available in the package don't belong to the sources included into this package. This is not that good for generating stable applications.
Btw ... here is a comment from Nero.com about the SDK for Nero 8: QUOTE The SDK, Software Development Kit, enables programmers to send commands to an installed version of Nero. So as long as a version of Nero is installed the SDK can be used free of charge. On our current homepage we don't have information on our SDK anymore. Background is, that the current version of our SDK, which may be used together with Nero 8 is still under development. Therefore we only can offer the old SDK at the moment, which can be used with Nero 6 and Nero 7. As you know, Nero 9 is alredy available. But there is still no SDK available for Nero 8. If you ask me - Nero.com will forget about the features they'd distributed a while ago. At the other hand ... why you want to install a overloaded Nero to use ImgTool Burn with it? The time of ImgTool Burn is over. It was once a cool small tool to help burning compatible Video DVD. But now there are many more cool and useful tools out there. Nevertheless... if there is a real need for a new version of ImgTool Burn I'll once again (only once) build ImgTool Burn with newest available API. This will be ImgTool Burn "Last Edition". If there is a need for this, let me know. I'll open a poll for this. Best regards, Jörg (once known as CouJo) -------------------- ===============
